100 Word Challenge No.8

The Game

My class was inside the school gym. The PE coach had blown the whistle for the game to start. Someone passed me the ball. I ran towards the goal in a straight line, surprised no one from the opposing team was there to stop me. I kicked and the ball flew into the goal! YAY!! I screamed aloud. I DID IT!!!

Everyone was watching me. My team suddenly fired angry words at me. I hadn’t passed the ball three times before shooting. Also it was the wrong goal. “But I didn’t understand the instructions.” I feebly explained to the class.
